iPhone 16 lands in stores without the much-hyped Apple Intelligence

Apple has been endorsing its AI partnership since June this year. The much-hyped Apple Intelligence was the highlight of this year’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) but now it seems like the tech giants forgot to concentrate on execution as they were busy with promotions. Apple is set to launch its iPhone 16 series in almost 60 countries, including the US, China, India, Australia, and South Korea, on Friday. But the new iPhone will not include the most-awaited Apple Intelligence. Reportedly, it will be available in the software update over time.

This glitch has resulted in a major setback for the iPhone makers, as now it is hard to influence the customers without their biggest selling point. This major turn of events will heavily affect the sales of the product, as it was the major upgrade customers were looking for. Other than the AI boost, the new model does not pack any other specific changes; there is just an additional touch-sensitive camera control button, which does not hold much relevance.

As previously reported by The Tatva, just the news of the delayed rollout of Apple Intelligence gave a hard time to the company, garnering a loss of $116 billion. It will be interesting to note how the company will lure their customers into buying the new phone. Will it result in a price drop? We don’t know it just yet.

What do analysts think?

Despite the assumptions, Wall Street is bullish, hoping the company can expect a high during the holiday season. According to the analysts, the revenue will likely gain an 8 per cent boost in the December quarter—the best showing for that period since the end of calendar 2021, Bloomberg reported.

The pre-orders of all four models of the 16 series started last week, and the shipment to stores and customers is expected to arrive by Friday. The new model will work on the iOS 18 operating system, whereas Apple Intelligence will arrive with iOS 18.1, which is expected to launch by October.

Preponed delivery

The delivery of the iPhones has experienced much of a delay with previous models, but this time it’s not the case as the delivery time for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models is cut down by 10 and 12 days, respectively, which can be credited to the lower demands.

Apple’s plan for the M4 processor

Apple also launched its lower-end AirPods along with the upgraded iWatch in the launch event, but they will not be the last launched products this year as Apple is also working on its AI-focused M4 processor, which will be featured in new iPads, MacBooks, and iMac desktops. The tech giants are planning for the Mac overall later this year.
