Four Indian bars have earned global recognition in the recently released Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 extended list, which ranks bars from 51 to 100 across the continent. The announcement came from The World’s 50 Best, a prestigious ranking platform known for spotlighting excellence in the food and beverage industry.
This year’s list includes two bars from Goa, and one each from Delhi and Mumbai, showcasing India’s growing influence in Asia’s bar culture.
Making its debut on the list, Bar Outrigger in Goa landed the 55th spot, becoming the highest-ranked Indian bar in the extended list. Also featured from Goa was Hideaway, ranked 94th.
From Delhi, the much-celebrated Sidecar secured 62nd place, while The Bombay Canteen from Mumbai grabbed the 69th spot.
The top 50 bars in Asia for 2025 will be announced during a ceremony in Macau on July 15, where we’ll find out which Indian bars (if any) make it to the higher tier this year.
In 2024, only one Indian bar, ZLB23 at The Leela Palace Bengaluru, made it to the top 50, earning the title of the best bar in India. Meanwhile, last year’s extended list also included The Bombay Canteen, along with Lair, Sidecar, and Home, all from New Delhi.
The rankings are based on votes by the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy, made up of over 300 industry experts, from bartenders and bar owners to drinks journalists and global connoisseurs.
The 2025 extended list features standout bars from 23 destinations across Asia. Leading the rankings are:
- Obsidian Bar (Shenzhen) – Rank 51
- Pine & Co (Seoul) – Rank 52
- Side Door (Singapore) – Rank 53
