In Gandhinagar, projects worth ₹281 crore will be launched, covering sewage pumping stations, stormwater drains, and a new road running parallel to the Metro Rail line. In Mehsana, Modi will launch railway projects worth over ₹1,400 crore, including doubling the Mehsana-Palanpur line, gauge conversion of the Kalol-Kadi-Katosan route, and upgradation of the Becharaji-Ranunj line.
He will also flag off a new passenger service between Katosan Road and Sabarmati, along with a freight train carrying cars from Becharaji. On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car production line for the ‘e-Vitara’ at Hansalpur near Ahmedabad.
