Security agencies have released the sketches of three suspected terrorists believed to be behind the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack killed 26 tourists and left several others injured.

The three suspected attackers have been identified as Asif Fuji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. They are said to be part of the Resistance Front, a group linked to the banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The terrorists opened fire on tourists at the Baisaran meadow, a popular tourist spot in Pahalgam. The attackers wore camouflage outfits and kurta-pyjamas and came out of the nearby dense pine forest. According to sources, at least 5 to 6 terrorists carried out the attack using AK-47 rifles.

Intelligence reports say that Pakistani terrorists entered the Kashmir Valley just a few days before the attack. A top LeT commander, Saifullah Kasuri, also known as Khalid, has been named as the mastermind behind the attack.

Security forces have launched a large anti-terror operation to catch the attackers. Helicopters have been deployed to help search the forest area where the terrorists fled after the attack.

Early forensic tests and survivor statements show that the terrorists used military-grade weapons and advanced communication tools, which means they had help from outside. The well-planned nature of the attack shows it was done by trained people, not local attackers.

Sources also said the attackers' digital footprints were traced to safe houses in Muzaffarabad and Karachi, which shows strong cross-border terror links.
