A 17-year-old girl, Sadhna Bhonsle, from Sangli, Maharashtra, died after being brutally beaten by her father for scoring low marks in a NEET mock test. Her father, Dhondiram Bhonsle, a school teacher, has been arrested after confessing to the assault.

Sadhna had earlier scored an impressive 92.60% in her Class 10 board exams. She was preparing for the NEET medical entrance exam and had recently scored low on a practice test. Angry over the marks, her father hit her repeatedly with a stick.

She suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Ushakal Hospital in Sangli. Unfortunately, she died before receiving treatment. The incident has shocked the local community, and police have taken the father into custody.
The girl’s mother filed a police complaint on June 22, stating that her husband, Dhondiram Bhonsle, assaulted their daughter after she performed poorly in a practice exam.

Angered by her mock test performance, Bhonsle repeatedly beat her with a stick, causing severe head injuries. She was rushed to Ushakal Hospital in Sangli but died before receiving treatment. The police have arrested the father, who has reportedly confessed to the crime. He is currently in police custody until June 24.
