The Supreme Court has agreed to delay the NEET PG 2025 exam to August 3 which was originally set for June 15. The decision came after the National Board of Examinations (NBE) requested more time, saying they were facing technical issues. A bench of Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and Augustine George Masih accepted the request.
The court noted that the NBE’s technology partner, TCS, could only conduct the exam on August 3 at the earliest. So, the court allowed the extension based on these technical limitations.
The Supreme Court has agreed to delay the NEET PG exam until August 3. They said this new date is final, and the exam will not be postponed again. The exam was originally scheduled for June 15, but the court ordered that it must be held in one shift only, not two like last year. Because of this, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) said they need more time to prepare.
NBE explained that organizing the exam is a big job. Their technology partner, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), said they need time to arrange staff like computer operators, centre managers, and security people.
NBE also said this exam is very important, so they want to make sure there is no cheating. They will work with the police and keep a close watch on the exam centres. The change to one shift happened because some people said holding the exam in different shifts was unfair, as questions might be harder or easier in different shifts.
