A woman in Kanpur has been accused of killing her husband by hitting him on the head with a heavy wooden door frame. The case has reminded many of the shocking Meerut murder incident. The victim has been identified as Dharmendra Pasi, who lived in Laxmankheda village. According to the police, the woman, Reena, was in an extramarital relationship with her nephew, Satish, and the two planned the murder together. Both Reena and Satish have been arrested, and the police are investigating the case further.

police investigation into the brutal murder of a man in Kanpur has revealed a shocking conspiracy involving an extramarital affair and a planned killing, similar to the recent Meerut murder case.  According to an NDTV report, on May 10, the accused woman, Reena, mixed sleeping pills in her husband Dharmendra Pasi’s food, causing him to fall unconscious. She then killed him by hitting his head with a heavy door frame. At the time, only his 75-year-old hearing-impaired mother was at home.

The murder came to light after police reviewed call records and conducted a forensic examination. Initially, three suspects were detained, but blood stains found in the courtyard and bathroom of the victim’s house pointed investigators back to his family. Though the body was found outside, the blood inside the house raised suspicion.
Using sniffer dogs and forensic experts, police confirmed the murder happened inside the house.

To mislead the investigation, Reena and her nephew Satish, with whom she was having an affair, tried to blame three other men. However, call records and intimate photos from their phones exposed them. During questioning, Reena admitted to her affair and said her husband had begun to suspect it.
