The Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell has summoned social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, for questioning in the ₹252-crore mephedrone (MD) drug case. His name came up during the interrogation of accused Salim Shaikh, police sources said.

Orry, however, has asked police to give him a date after November 25, as he is not in Mumbai and could not appear for questioning today.

According to sources, accused Salim Shaikh told investigators that:

  • Orry and Alishah Parkar, nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, are “good friends”

  • Orry allegedly used drugs and went to drug-fueled parties

To verify these claims, the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell issued a summons for Orry to join the investigation.

Police sources said those involved in the drug operation, including both buyers and sellers, used apps like:

  • Zengi

  • Signal

  • Trima

  • Instagram

  • FaceTime

These platforms were reportedly used to communicate and arrange drug deals. Investigators say that more people named by Shaikh, including those linked to Bollywood and politics, may soon be called for questioning.

Celebrities named by the accused

In his statement, Salim Shaikh reportedly mentioned several well-known personalities:

  • Actress Shraddha Kapoor

  • Her brother Siddharth Kapoor

  • Filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan

  • Former MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui

  • Actress and dancer Nora Fatehi

  • Influencer Orhan “Orry” Awatramani

  • Alishah Parkar, son of Haseena Parkar

  • Rapper Loka

Police have reportedly found important evidence and are now expanding the probe. Summons may be issued to the people named to join the investigation.

In July, police teams from Mumbai and Mysuru busted a large mephedrone manufacturing unit and seized drugs worth over ₹300 crore.

On Monday, Mumbai Police took custody of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, the alleged drug dealer who was recently deported from Dubai.

The investigation into the entire network is now being strengthened, based on new evidence recovered by the police.
