A brokerage company based in Dubai has disappeared suddenly, leaving behind empty offices and many confused investors. The company, Gulf First Commercial Brokers, had offices in Capital Golden Tower at Business Bay, one of Dubai's busy business areas.
Now, all that’s left outside Suite 302 is a mop in a bucket and a black garbage bag. Just a few weeks ago, this same space was buzzing with activity. But today, it looks abandoned.
According to a report in Khaleej Times, Gulf First had around 40 employees working in two office suites—302 and 305. Their job was to call people and promote forex investment deals. But now, both offices are locked, phones have been removed, and dust covers the floors.
A security guard from the building shared, “They returned the keys, cleared everything out, and left like they were in a hurry. Now we have people coming daily asking about them.”
Many people who invested money through the company are now worried. Two investors, Mohammad and Fayaz Poyyl, who are from Kerala, India, say they put in $75,000.
“I came here looking for answers, but there's nothing, no one. Just empty offices. We called every number, but no one...” said Mohammad.
Right now, no one knows where the company or its staff have gone. People who trusted the company with their savings are still looking for answers.
