India won the third and final ODI against England by 142 runs, completing a 3-0 series clean sweep. The match was held at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, and it was India's last ODI series before the 2025 Champions Trophy.

England won the toss and chose to bowl first, meaning India had to bat first. However, India lost captain Rohit Sharma early in the second over. After that, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli played well together, making a 100-run partnership.

Virat Kohli, who had not been in great form lately, scored 52 runs, marking his first ODI half-century since the 2023 World Cup final. However, he was later dismissed by England’s spinner, Adil Rashid.

Gill, on the other hand, continued his excellent form, scoring his 7th ODI century, a well-made 112 off 102 balls. He stitched another 104-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer, who contributed 78 runs from 64 balls. KL Rahul also played a quick 29-ball 40, helping India post a strong total of 356 runs.

England’s best bowler was Adil Rashid, who took 4 wickets for 64 runs, dismissing key players like Kohli, Gill, Iyer, and Hardik Pandya. Mark Wood got two wickets, while Saqib Mahmood, Joe Root, and Gus Atkinson took one each.

Chasing 357, England’s batting collapsed under pressure and was bowled out for just 214 runs. No English batter managed to reach a half-century. Their top scorer was Gus Atkinson, who played a quick 19-ball 38 at number eight.

India’s bowling attack was brilliant, with four bowlers taking two wickets each:

This win gives India a strong boost before the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy. The team showed great form in batting, bowling, and fielding, and their dominance over England in this series was clear.
