After Rohit’s century in the last game, Kohli will be aiming for one too. At the other end, Shubman Gill is also in great touch, having played well in both games of the series but not converting them into centuries. He will be hoping to turn this innings into a big score.

While Mark Wood is bowling well from one end, Saqib Mahmood hasn't found his rhythm yet. He's trying to get the ball to move, but there isn't much help for him. On the other hand, Wood's extra pace is making it tough for the batters. However, any movement Saqib did get with the ball early on will fade away quickly. It will be interesting to see how the pitch behaves as the ball gets older and softer. In the World Cup 2023 final and other matches, we've seen it become harder to bat as the ball ages. The question now is whether England's fast bowlers have the skills to make the most of the older ball.

Saqib Mahmood started the bowling for England and tried to swing the ball, but there wasn't much help from the pitch. The pitch is a black soil wicket, similar to the one in Cuttack. Mark Wood was brought into the attack and managed to get the big wicket of Rohit Sharma. It was a great delivery from Wood. The ball pitched around the middle stump and moved slightly away, taking the outside edge of Rohit's bat and going straight to the wicketkeeper. After scoring a century in the previous game, this is a disappointment for Rohit, who once again stayed on the backfoot while batting.

The third and final ODI between India and England has started in Ahmedabad. For India, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are opening the batting. They need to build a strong partnership to give India a good start. On the other hand, Mark Wood will bowl the first over for England.
