Ola, the popular ride-hailing app, is facing public anger after a woman was seriously hurt during one of its bike rides. Siddhi Vijayvargia, who lives in Noida, had a major accident on April 22 due to careless driving by the Ola bike rider. She suffered a serious fracture in her left arm, needed multiple surgeries, and has spent over ₹3 lakh on medical treatment.

The incident came to light after Pratyush Singh, Siddhi's colleague and a Senior Brand Manager at DigiWhistle, shared her story on LinkedIn. He also posted photos and screenshots related to the ride, accusing Ola of being irresponsible and slow to respond.

In his post, Pratyush said that Ola did not take any proper action even after promising help. Instead, they gave unclear replies and delayed their responses for months. He criticised Ola for not showing basic support or care and questioned the company’s accountability.

He tagged Ola and its CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, saying that this issue is not just about money but also about trust and responsibility. He added that Siddhi, who trusted the Ola platform, is now left to struggle alone without proper help, support, or answers from the company after her life was badly affected by the accident. He criticised Ola and its CEO Bhavish Aggarwal for not standing by victims. “Siddhi didn’t deserve this trauma. She didn’t expect her life to stop. Now she’s forced to fight for help, care, and compensation that Ola should have offered willingly,” he wrote.

Reacting to the post, Ola Support said they are looking into the matter and will get in touch soon. But Singh wasn’t happy with the reply. He called it a “template message” and asked the company to take real action instead of giving general responses. The incident has once again raised questions about the safety of app-based bike rides and how companies handle such situations. Many people online are now demanding that Ola take responsibility and improve its support for affected users.
