An Indian Army officer said that India has enough weapons to strike anywhere in Pakistan, from the widest to the narrowest parts of the country. He said that even if Pakistan moves its army headquarters from Rawalpindi to another place like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it would still be within India’s reach.
During recent tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian forces targeted several Pakistani air bases near the border. The Defence Minister said the strikes also affected areas deep inside Rawalpindi, where Pakistan’s army headquarters is located. The success of these operations was due to the use of advanced Indian technology, including long-range drones and precise weapons.
The officer also said Pakistan had sent about 800 to 1,000 drones across the western border over four days. However, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force worked together to intercept and destroy all the drones carrying weapons. He further said that all the armed drones sent by Pakistan, which were meant to harm civilians and target populated areas, were stopped before causing any damage. He added that there were no civilian casualties, proving the success of their defence.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 to target terrorist camps in Pakistan. This came two weeks after terrorists based in Pakistan killed 26 people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In response, the Pakistan Army attacked Indian border cities using drones and cross-border firing. India then carried out precise strikes on several Pakistani military bases. This pressure led Pakistan to agree to start ceasefire talks. Both countries reached an agreement to stop firing on May 10, and the ceasefire is still in place.
