A 19-year-old man named Suraj Narayan Yadav, from Jharkhand, was killed after getting stuck in a grinder while making food at a roadside Chinese food stall in Worli, Mumbai. Suraj had recently started working at the stall. The incident happened when he used the grinder to prepare ingredients for Manchurian and Chinese Bhel. Police have filed a case against the stall owner, Sachin Kothekar. The incident was captured on CCTV.

The video shows Suraj's shirt caught in the grinder, which was at his waist height when he reached inside. In just a few seconds, the machine pulled him in completely. Yadav had no prior experience or knowledge of how to operate the grinder. It is said that Mr. Kothekar gave him the job without providing proper training or safety precautions.

In August, another similar tragic incident took place when a 40-year-old man, overseeing repairs on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway, was killed after being crushed by a grinding machine at Bilaspur Chowk in Gurugram, Haryana.

Another incident in Worli

A fire broke out on the second floor of the Rajshri Entertainment Private Limited studio on Sunday, located in the Poonam Chambers building in Worli. The fire was reported at 11:39 am, causing panic in the area. In response, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation deployed eight fire engines and six jumbo tankers to tackle the blaze.

The Level 2 fire was brought under control by 3:23 pm, and luckily, no one was injured. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, but officials said the presence of LPG cylinders and the glass facade made the fire spread quickly from a small to a moderate emergency.

It is believed that a short circuit may have started the fire, which damaged equipment like editing panels, computers, cameras, and other studio items.
