The investigation into the Red Fort blast has taken a major turn as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) continues to uncover the network behind the deadly attack. Earlier, the agency arrested another key associate linked to the terrorist module responsible for the explosion. Jasir Bilal Wani, also known by the alias Danish, a resident of Kashmir, was apprehended from Srinagar by an NIA team deployed in the Valley.
According to investigators, Jasir played a crucial operational role in supporting the terror plot. NIA findings reveal that he had allegedly provided technical assistance to the attackers by modifying drones for surveillance and logistical use. He was also reportedly attempting to fabricate rocket-like devices, a development that highlights the growing sophistication of the terror cell’s capabilities.
His arrest marked a major step forward in dismantling the technical backbone that aided the conspiracy. In another breakthrough, the NIA arrested Amir Rashid Ali, a key conspirator who had worked closely with the suicide bomber. Amir, in whose name the car used in the attack was registered, was detained in Delhi after a massive multi-city search operation.
His involvement is believed to be central to the planning and execution of the attack, as he allegedly facilitated the bomber’s movements and provided critical logistical support. With these arrests, the NIA is now piecing together the full extent of the conspiracy, tracing both the ideological motivations and the technical infrastructure behind the Red Fort blast. Each development adds new layers to the investigation as authorities intensify efforts to identify all individuals connected to the terror plot.
