A 15-year-old teen named Arnav Daga from Kolkata has made history by breaking four Guinness World Records in just one day. He did this through his amazing card-stacking skills on October 19, 2024.

Arnav broke records for building the tallest house of cards in one hour, eight hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours—all in a single day. Guinness World Records praised his effort and shared the news on Instagram. They wrote, “An Indian man with a passion for card-stacking set himself the ultimate challenge – 24 hours to break four records."

They added, “Arnav Daga armed himself with hundreds of cards – and a dream – on 19 October 2024. And by the time the day was done, he had earned records for the tallest house of cards built in one hour, eight hours, 12 hours and 24 hours." They also posted pictures of his achievements.

Speaking about his journey, Arnav said, “Card stacking has always been my passion, and I wanted to test my limits."

To break the one-hour record, Arnav built a structure with 30 levels. “Card stacking is a challenging art which requires a lot of time and patience," he explained.

After that, he continued to build a new tower to break the other three records. Arnav said, “I was already exhausted by the first attempt, so I started off really slow and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to accomplish the target which I had set."

To stay motivated, he put on headphones and listened to music. This helped him stay focused during the long hours. In the end, he created a tower with 61 levels to break the remaining three records.

Talking about how it felt to become a record holder, Arnav said, “From seeing records being created to finally becoming a record holder has been a really satisfying journey, and I wish to single-handedly own all the Guinness World Records titles in the field of card stacking."

Interestingly, this is not the first time Arnav has set a world record. In 2023, he used 1.43 lakh cards to create the world’s largest playing card structure. It featured famous buildings from Kolkata like the Writers’ Building, Shaheed Minar, Salt Lake Stadium, and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Before Arnav’s recent success, the eight-hour and 12-hour card-stacking records belonged to Tian Rui from China. After Arnav’s win, Tian reclaimed the eight-hour title with a 62-level tower.
