A brutal murder inside a bakery in Karnataka’s Koppal district has left the community stunned. On May 31, a man named Chenappa Narinal was killed by a group of seven men over an alleged property dispute. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, and the footage is now helping police with their investigation.

The CCTV video shows Narinal running into a bakery, trying to escape from his attackers. He was already being beaten as he entered. Inside the shop, at least two men could be seen chasing him with machetes, while another struck him on the head with a wooden log.

With visible injuries and deep cuts on his body, the victim ran in circles inside the bakery, desperately trying to avoid the attackers. Moments later, he ran out of the shop — but was caught and stabbed several times by two to three men outside.

The attackers then quickly fled the scene.

Officials confirmed on Monday that seven men have been arrested in connection with the killing. The accused have been identified as Ravi, Pradeep, two men named Manjunath, Nagaraj, Gautam, and Pramod.

According to early findings by the police, the murder appears to be linked to an old enmity and a property-related conflict between the victim and the accused.

Senior police officers visited the crime scene after the incident. A wider manhunt has been launched to find anyone else who may have been involved. Investigations are ongoing to gather more details about the case.

Police have urged the public to stay calm and are ensuring that justice will be served.
