The 25th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2025 ended with an amazing performance by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The two-day event was held on March 8 and March 9 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was a grand celebration of Indian cinema, full of glamour and excitement. Many talented actors and films were honored, with Laapataa Ladies winning several awards, including Best Picture.
Winners of the night
The highlight of the event was the announcement of the top winners. Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, while Nitanshi Goel bagged Best Actress for Laapataa Ladies. Kiran Rao won Best Director for the same film, which is also India’s official Oscar entry.
The movie Kill received multiple awards, with Raghav Juyal winning Best Performance in a Negative Role and Rafey Mahmood getting the Best Cinematography award. Other major winners included Janki Bodiwala for Best Supporting Actress (Shaitaan) and Ravi Kishan for Best Supporting Actor (Laapataa Ladies).
Kunal Kemmu was honored with Best Directorial Debut for Madgaon Express, while Pratibha Ranta and Lakshya won Best Debut Actress and Best Debut Actor for their roles in Laapataa Ladies and Kill, respectively.
The Best Music Director award went to Ram Sampath for Laapataa Ladies, and Shreya Ghoshal and Jubin Nautiyal won Best Playback Singers in female and male categories.
The ceremony featured breathtaking performances by some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Kriti Sanon. The grand finale performance by Shah Rukh Khan left the audience mesmerised.
A special moment at the event was when Shah Rukh Khan gave awards to the founders of IIFA to celebrate their 25 years of contribution to Indian cinema. The night also honoured veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan with the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award.
IIFA 2025 was a huge success, celebrating the best of Bollywood with amazing performances, well-deserved awards, and incredible talent. Jaipur was the perfect host for this grand event, making it a night to remember for Indian cinema.
