Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who has directed The Diary of West Bengal, personally met Monalisa in her Maheshwar home in Khargone district before offering her the opportunity. Monalisa has been selling flowers and rudraksha garlands at Kila Ghat on the banks of the Narmada River since childhood.
