A British woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men at a hotel in Mahipalpur, Delhi, according to reports from news agency ANI. The Delhi Police have arrested both suspects, and the British High Commission has been notified.
Police informed that one of the accused, Kailash, had reached out to the woman on Instagram a few months back. Kailash, a Vasundhara resident in Mayur Vihar,East Delhi, is famous for creating Instagram reels. He became friends with the woman, who resides in London, through social media.
The woman was visiting Maharashtra and Goa when she contacted Kailash and invited him to meet her. Since Kailash couldn’t travel, he asked her to come to Delhi instead.
On Tuesday night, the woman had come to Delhi and taken a room in Mahipalpur. Kailash had gone to receive her at the hotel, accompanied by his friend Wasim. The three had a drink and dinner together and then went to her room.
Kailash is said to have then forcibly sexually assaulted the woman, as per police. When she tried to resist and sounded an alarm, Kailash invited Wasim into the room to quieten her.
