A tragic event happened in Delhi’s Chhawla area when people found a woman’s body floating in a canal. The woman was identified as Komal, who lived in Sundari Nagar, Seemapuri. After investigating, the police arrested a man named Asif, accusing him of killing her.

According to the police, Asif, who works as a taxi driver, knew Komal from before. On March 12, he picked her up from Seemapuri in his car. They started arguing, and during the fight, Asif strangled Komal, causing her death. To hide what he did, he tied her body to a stone and threw it into a canal.

Komal’s body was discovered on March 17 when it rose to the surface after swelling up. Earlier, her family had reported her missing, and a kidnapping case was filed at the Seemapuri police station. After finding her body, Chhawla police registered a murder case.

Asif has been arrested, and the car used in the crime has been seized. Police are also investigating whether anyone else was involved in the murder.

This tragic case came to light just a day after another horrific crime was reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. A Merchant Navy officer was murdered and chopped into pieces, and his body was sealed in a drum with cement. The officer’s wife and her lover, Sahil Shukla, were found responsible for the gruesome act.
