The body of a girl, around 18 years old, was found inside a suitcase near the railway tracks in Bengaluru. The suitcase was seen near the railway tracks close to Hosur Main Road, near the old Chandapura railway bridge.

Reports say the body was placed inside the suitcase at a different place and then thrown from a moving train near the railway tracks.

The Suryanagar police have already done the first check at the spot. The Baiyappanahalli railway police will take charge of the case when they arrive. After the suitcase is carefully examined, the police will begin a full investigation.

CK Baba, Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police, said, “It appears the suitcase was thrown from railway property, likely from a moving train. Normally, such cases fall under railway police jurisdiction, but since it relates to our area, we are involved. The victim’s identity is yet to be confirmed, as there was no ID or belongings found.”

The police are trying to find out who the girl is and what happened to her.

In another case, on May 12, 2024, the body of a 14-year-old tribal girl, who was deaf and mute, was found near railway tracks in Ramanagara, Karnataka.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar visited the family of the tribal girl in Bhadrapura village. He said, “The police have registered a case. We will not interfere in the investigation. Let the police probe all angles, whether it is vengeance, an affair, rape, or anything else. It's our duty to ensure justice.”

The police are working to find answers and bring justice in both cases.
