A shocking incident took place in Maharashtra’s Jalna district, where a 13-year-old boy allegedly murdered a 41-year-old woman in a fit of rage. The tragic event happened on March 25 and was reportedly caused by a fight over a mobile phone and a water dispute.

Dispute over water leads to murder

Meera, alias Sandhya Rajabhau Bondare, lost her life after a serious argument with a young boy. The fight started because the woman got angry at the boy for blocking water from reaching her field. In frustration, she reportedly threw his mobile phone into the water. This made the boy very angry, and he hit her with a stone. The injury was severe, and she died on the spot.

The case was initially a mystery, with police unsure of who committed the crime. A formal complaint was filed by a local named Ankush Sadashiv Aute at the Tirthapuri police station against an unknown attacker. This led to a detailed investigation by the Local Crime Branch (LCB) and Tirthapuri police.

Boy confesses to the crime

During the investigation, some villagers told the police that they saw a young boy running away from the place where the crime happened. This information helped the police find the suspect. They questioned seven people before realising that the boy was responsible. When the police asked him about it, he confessed to the crime.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Kumar Bansal, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ayush Nopani, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) Vishal Khambe led the investigation. A special team, including LCB officer Pankaj Jadhav and officers from Tirthapuri Police Station like Sajid Ahmed, worked hard to solve the case.

The boy is now in police custody, and legal action is being taken. Authorities are also examining his mental state and looking into possible external influences that may have led to this tragic incident.
