Many jobseekers are frustrated with recruiters who stop communicating after applications or interviews. One tech professional, tired of constant rejections, decided to "ghost" a company himself.

He wrote on Reddit, "Today, I ghosted a company before an interview. I've done 7-8interviews and currently have one job offer." He explained that he had successfully passed all his interviews but was still left waiting for a response.

He added, "Many HRs would interview me, say I passed, and then just disappear, even after discussing salary. It was exhausting to keep interviewing and then be ignored. Only one HR told me they no longer had any openings, while others simply didn't bother to reply."

He explained that he tried to keep in touch with HR to get updates on his application. He would call them regularly and even send "policeemails" to ask if he was still being considered.

When another company invited him for an interview, he asked if they could meet his salary expectations. He wrote, "I didn't want to ghost this company after scheduling the interview, but she insisted that I attend even after I asked if they could match my salary expectations. She said that I first needed to go through the interview rounds, and then they would see what they could offer. Sorry, but I'm not ready to go through the same process again."

The post resonated with many online users who understood the job seeker's frustration."Yeah, the same thing happens to me. You do your best in an interview, feel confident about getting the job, and then they ghost you. All your plans and dreams come crashing down," one user wrote on Reddit.

Another user said, "Getting ghosted after an interview says a lot about an organization's culture. I was a hiring manager, and I always gave quick feedback doesn't take more than five minutes to decide if someone fits the team."

A third user added, "Are these HRs even qualified to decide who works best for the job? They aren't. That's the problem. They never earn as much as a developer, so they try to lowball us to boost their egos."
