Dubai has added another record-breaking structure to its skyline. The newly opened Ciel Dubai Marina, part of IHG’s Vignette Collection, is now officially the tallest hotel in the world, standing at a massive 377 metres. With 82 floors and 1,004 rooms, it has taken the top spot from the Gevora Hotel, also in Dubai.
The hotel was designed by London-based NORR Group, known for its striking and modern architecture. The building’s most unique feature is its “eye of the needle” opening at the top. This design isn’t just stylish, it helps reduce wind pressure, keeping the slim tower stable and safe.
Ciel Dubai Marina brings a new meaning to high-rise luxury. One of its biggest attractions is the world’s highest infinity pool, located on the 76th floor. From here, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf.
The hotel also offers:
Three rooftop and outdoor pools, including the stunning Tattu Skypool
Eight fine-dining restaurants and lounges
Tall indoor garden spaces stretching through the tower
A modern gym
A luxury spa set to open in 2026
Along with its height and beauty, the hotel has been engineered to meet high global standards for energy and safety. It includes rainwater harvesting systems, advanced mechanical equipment, and eco-friendly design elements. Architects say they did not set out to build the tallest hotel; the unusual shape of the plot naturally led to a vertical design.
Run by The First Group Hospitality, the hotel opened to guests on November 15. With its tall glass exterior, sky-high experiences, and unmatched design, Ciel Dubai Marina is expected to become a top choice for travellers looking for a luxurious stay in the heart of Dubai.
