A Dubai-based entrepreneur and social media content creator surprised everyone with a very unusual home decoration: a car hanging from the ceiling like a chandelier. This unique choice has gone viral online and even raised safety concerns among viewers.
A luxury car turned into a chandelier
The influencer, Mohamed Beiraghdary, who is known as MoVlogs on social media, teamed up with @edrive.jetcar to build this one-of-a-kind chandelier. The centrepiece of his home is a Ferrari-style jet car, worth around $500,000 (about ₹4.3 crore), hanging right from the ceiling. In a video posted online, viewers can see the car being carefully lifted and installed.
Mixed reactions from social media
The video quickly got over 23 million views and 800,000 likes. While some people praised the creativity of turning a car into a chandelier, others were doubtful and criticised the idea. Some questioned whether the car was even real.
One user commented, “It’s not even that. It’s just a model... if he paid 500k for a fibreglass body, he got ripped off.”
Some also raised safety concerns, especially in case of earthquakes. A few people felt the car looked more like a toy than a luxury item. One person said, “Looks horrible, like a plastic toy hanging. Should’ve gotten a crashed one and turned that into a chandelier.”
Not the first time cars were used in strange ways
This is not the first time Dubai residents have used luxury cars in unusual ways. Earlier, an Indian businessman living in Dubai gifted his one-year-old daughter a custom-made Rolls-Royce. The car had a nameplate that read “Congratulations, Isabella” and seats with her initials stitched in. The car was made in England and specially shipped to the UAE.
Dubai continues to surprise the world with its over-the-top luxury ideas.
