Amir Hamza, one of the founding members of the banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), was seriously injured in an accident at his home in Lahore. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.Sources familiar with the situation said that Hamza got hurt due to an accident inside his house. While some posts on social media claimed he was shot, investigations have confirmed that those rumours are not true.

Amir Hamza is a veteran of the Afghan mujahideen and is considered one of the key thinkers behind LeT’s ideology. Known for his fiery speeches and writings, he once edited the group’s official magazine and has written several books, including Qafila Da'wat aur Shahadat (Caravan of Preaching and Martyrdom), published in 2002.

The United States has officially labeled Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) a terrorist group and has also listed Amir Hamza as a sanctioned terrorist. He is believed to have been an important leader in LeT, helping with raising funds, recruiting new members, and negotiating to free captured militants.

In 2018, after Pakistan started cracking down on charities linked to LeT, like Jamaat-ud-Dawah and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation, Hamza reportedly stepped away from the group. But soon after, he formed a new group called Jaish-e-Manqafa, which is believed to still carry out militant activities, especially in Jammu and Kashmir. Indian media claims that this group is active in Pakistan and that Hamza is still closely connected with LeT leaders. As of now, Pakistani officials haven’t released any statement about Hamza’s current condition.
