Behind Dubai’s glamorous image of luxury parties, tall shiny skyscrapers, and famous influencers, there is a dark and shocking reality that has worried people around the world: secret events called "Porta-Potty" parties. At these parties, young women, often models, actors, or social media influencers are invited with promises of expensive gifts, stays in 5-star hotels, designer bags, and jewellery. In return, they are paid a lot of money to take part in disgusting and abusive sexual acts. These acts involve bodily fluids, humiliation, and violence. The name "Porta-Potty" party comes from the fact that the women are treated in such a degrading way as if they were portable toilets.

A Reddit user named Nowhere Wolf shared stories from Spanish women who attended such parties. In one post from April, they described horrible things: "The girls were whipped, they cried, were spat on, defecated on (pooped on), strangled... And the worst part, I still shiver when I think about it," the post said.

The Reddit user also described a shocking story where a girl was tied up, and a machine gun was forced into her private parts. Her leg was broken while she screamed in pain. One of the older men even stepped on her broken leg until it snapped completely. Recently, an influencer talked about her scary experience on TikTokAccording to the Daily Mirror, the woman, who uses the name @outplayedbyjade, shared that a stranger at the gym approached her during her visit to Dubai and invited her to such a party.

Later, the man sent the woman flowers, chocolates, and a message through his staff. She didn’t think much about it until she got another gift, an expensive jewellery set worth around $3,000. Feeling curious and special, she went to the Van Cleef & Arpels store, where she got a bracelet and a necklace. But her online followers quickly warned her that this man might be a "recruiter" for Porta-Potty parties. These parties are known for extreme abuse and using women in terrible ways. The danger is very serious. Some women have even died.

 Death linked to Porta-Potty parties

Maria Kovalchuk, a 20-year-old model from Ukraine, died after going to one of these parties. She told her mom she was going to stay overnight with two men who said they were modelling agents. But she never took her flight to Thailand. Ten days later, Maria was found on the side of a road in Dubai. Her spine was broken, her arms and legs were broken, and she had serious internal injuries. Dubai police said she fell from a building, but her family and lawyers don’t believe this. A Russian lawyer, Katya Gordon, said Maria was probably forced to take part in a party where she was badly hurt.

"The scandal about Porta-Potty parties has been going on for more than a year," Gordon said. Some women have started to speak out. But in Dubai, it is very risky to talk about these things because of strict laws. Radha Stirling, a legal expert, said that even if women are forced, they can still get in trouble for things like adultery or indecency, especially if married men are involved.

"Sex outside marriage is legal now in Dubai, but people running these parties take advantage of this. Women think they are going to a private party, but they end up in dangerous situations and can even face legal trouble," she explained.

How people first found out about Porta-Potty parties

People first started talking about these parties in 2022. A flight attendant on TikTok named Laims shared that a colleague talked about a first-class passenger who asked for fibre-rich foods, which was a hidden clue about these parties. Another TikTok user said flight attendants were also sometimes invited to join rich men in these parties. Later, a user named @chennifar showed a contract that a 26-year-old woman got from a man calling himself "Sultan Ali." He offered her $25,000 before the "job" and another $25,000 after.

What makes this problem even more worrying is that many of the victims are Black women. A lot of the women seen in leaked videos or who have talked about these parties are of African background. Even some British influencers who were invited, like Saint Mullan, are Black.

This has made people question if these parties are purposely targeting Black women and using them more than others. Many women think they are going to enjoy a rich, luxurious lifestyle and get a lot of money. But in reality, it often turns into a scary and harmful experience.
