Khaby Lame, the most-followed person on TikTok, has left the United States after being stopped by immigration officials in Las Vegas for staying too long on his visa. US immigration officials said that Khaby, whose full name is Seringe Khabane Lame and who was born in Senegal but lives in Italy, was held at the Las Vegas airport last Friday.

He had entered the US on April 30 but stayed longer than his visa allowed. Officials gave him the option to leave the country on his own, which means he won’t have a deportation record. This will make it easier for him to return to the US in the future.

The 25-year-old social media star has not made any public comment about the incident. His exit from the US comes at a time when immigration rules are being more strictly enforced under President Donald Trump’s recent policies, which have led to protests, especially in Los Angeles.
