In Bihar’s Patna, a black Scorpio-N SUV carrying five people got trapped in a deep, waterlogged pothole on Friday evening. A video of the vehicle, which was almost fully submerged and tilted quickly, went viral, drawing the attention of locals who gathered around the spot. Two men were seen climbing onto the SUV and opening its door to check if anyone was stuck inside.

The driver, Neetu Singh Choubey from Bhagalpur, blamed officials for negligence and even suggested foul play. Speaking to ANI, she said, "Everyone has been contacted. We spoke with the DM. He said this is a conspiracy to defame the government during the election period. This is all BUIDCO's fault."

She further alleged that the pothole had been left unattended for nearly 20 days despite being dangerous, especially during the rainy season. "Five people were in the car. If someone had lost their life, who would take responsibility?" she asked.

Choubey claimed there were no barricades or warning signs near the damaged road. She added, "There was no barricade. Even after my car fell, another person fell off his bike in the same crater. Locals say someone or other falls in this pothole every day."

When questioned about prior notices, she said officials had admitted no written notice had been issued to commuters.

The SUV was rescued, and thankfully, all five passengers escaped without injuries. The incident highlighted the poor state of the broken and uneven road near Patna railway station, which locals say has been ignored for a long time.
