A passenger has sent a legal notice to a private airline after he was mistakenly flown from Lahore to Jeddah instead of Karachi, according to ARY News. The passenger, named Shahzain, said that even though he showed his ticket to the air hostess, no one told him he was on the wrong flight.
Shahzain said there were two planes parked at the domestic terminal gate, and he didn’t realize he had boarded the wrong one until it was too late. Because of this mistake, he faced many problems when he landed inSaudi Arabia. In his legal notice, Shahzain has asked the airline to pay for the extra travel costs he had to bear. He also wants compensation for all the trouble and stress the airline caused him.
According to ARY News, the passenger, Shahzain, confirmed that he did not have a passport or visa for traveling abroad. He said, "Two hours after the flight started, I wondered why we hadn’t reached Karachi yet. When I asked, the crew panicked and started blaming me for the mistake."
Shahzain said that when he asked the airline to send him to Karachi, they told him it would take two to three days. He also said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would investigate the matter and that he was ready to cooperate.
This private airline is now facing criticism because they flew a passenger going to Karachi all the way to Jeddah, even though he had no passport or visa. The Pakistan Airport Authority has taken notice of this mistake. The Lahore Airport Management has blamed the private airline, calling it "negligence and carelessness." They have also sent a request to higher authorities to take action against the airline.
