Many car lovers dream of owning a Lamborghini. But for Bibin, a 26-year-old quality assurance professional from Kerala, this dream didn’t need crores of rupees. Instead, he made it come true with passion, scrap materials, and hard work. A video on YouTube shows Bibin proudly showing his homemade Lamborghini Huracan. In the video, he explains that he built the car using scrap metal, fibreglass sheets, and parts from old cars.
Bibin said his Lamborghini runs on wheels and an engine from a Maruti Suzuki Alto. It even has a Lamborghini-style steering wheel, which he got from another car. The car also has butterfly doors, a nose-lift feature (using a car jack), and a wiper motor-all controlled with the push of a button.
Bibin shared that he has been working on this project for three years. Because of his busy job, he could only work on it at night. So far, he has spent about ₹1.5 lakh on it. However, he said around 20–30% of the work is still left. For example, the inside of the car is not fully finished yet, and the seats do not have cushions.
On YouTube, people loved how he turned scrap into a luxury sports car. One person wrote, "This is amazing! Turning scrap into a beautiful car needs great skill, patience, and passion. You made the impossible possible!" Another said, "It’s all about mindset. If you can’t buy something, you work hard to make it." Someone else even joked, "He is a competitor of Lamborghini now!"
Earlier, a video of a 67-year-old man from Kerala also went viral. He built an electric car that can go 60 km on a full charge. It uses only about 1 unit of electricity, which costs just Rs 5. He named the car "Pulkoodu." It can carry two people and has headlights, fog lights, indicators, and wipers in the front and back.
