A content creator from Delhi, Nishu Tiwari, tried to sneak into a five-star hotel in Chanakyapuri for a free breakfast but ended up paying ₹3,600 for it. She shared a video on Instagram, showing herself dressed in pyjamas, pretending to be a hotel guest. She gave the staff a fake room number and managed to enter the breakfast buffet with her team member.

After enjoying the lavish meal, they were about to leave when the hotel staff stopped them. When the staff checked the room number, they found out it belonged to someone else. At first, Nishu claimed it was a mix-up, but later admitted she wasn't a guest and paid ₹3,600 for the meal.

In the caption, Nishu Tiwari wrote, "Free ka khana mehnga pad gaya" (The free meal turned out to be costly). Since being shared, the video has gained over 1.7 million views and sparked a debate on morality and prank culture.

One user commented, "You might have made this video as a joke, but it could give people the wrong idea. Why promote something that encourages such behaviour?" Another added, "I didn’t find this funny at all. I just hope this video doesn’t inspire others to try the same, as it could lead to trouble and harm reputations."

Another user criticized her actions, saying, "Shame on people like this. Earn money and respect first, then sit among quality people… As they say, money doesn’t guarantee class." A third user pointed out, "The hack would have worked if you weren’t recording and didn’t have that microphone. You were attracting too much attention."
Someone from the hospitality industry also shared their disappointment, commenting, "Why would you even do this? I work in hospitality, but even as a sensible person, I would never try such childish nonsense."
