Ananya Panday has been named the first ever Indian brand ambassador of the French luxury brand Chanel.The announcement was made on April 16, marking a major moment in the actress's career and highlighting India's rising influence in the global luxury market.

Chanel told BoF that they are happy to have Ananya Panday as their brand ambassador. They said she reflects today’s young generation, who are confident, curious, and have unique styles. “Her values match Chanel’s, which makes her a great fit for the brand,” the statement said.

Ananya said that for her, Chanel is all about freedom and being yourself with style and grace. Ananya Panday’s appearance at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris had already sparked buzz about her possible collaboration with the brand. Dressed in an outfit from Chanel’s Cruise Collection, she attended the show alongside her sister, Rysa Panday. Since then, fans and fashion watchers have been eagerly waiting for the official announcement of her as the brand’s ambassador.

Apart from Chanel, Ananya Panday is also associated with several other global and Indian brands. She is the face of Swarovski and has been featured in Jimmy Choo’s campaigns for India. She also represents popular brands like Lakmé, Beats, and Timex as their brand ambassador.

In the past few years, global luxury brands have increasingly partnered with Indian celebrities. Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Aishwarya Rai are among the top names associated with high-end fashion labels. Sonam is connected with Dior and was recently seen at their Fall 2025 show in Kyoto, Japan, on April 15. Alia represents Gucci, Deepika is linked with Louis Vuitton, and Aishwarya has had a long-standing association with L'Oréal.
