A heartwarming video of women distributing free sanitary pads at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is gaining attention online. The initiative, part of the Yogi Adityanath government’s efforts, includes setting up free sanitary pad corners at the spiritual gathering.

Journalist Rajesh Sahu shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), praising the initiative.Some companies are doing commendable work at Kumbh. One company, with the help of some girls, is distributing free sanitary pads to women and girls,he wrote.

The gesture has been widely appreciated, with people applauding the thoughtful move. He further mentioned,The Health Department is also providing free sanitary pads at all its hospitals in Kumbh.”

The video captures women carrying large bags, and distributing free sanitary pads to other women at the Maha Kumbh Mela. The pads are packed in orange packets, reportedly containing two pads each. The clip also shows some devotees returning to collect additional pads from the distributors.
