A video from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, is being widely shared on social media. It shows an autorickshaw carrying 15 people, which is far more than it is designed to hold. This happened on Tirwa Road near Pal Crossing in the Sadar area. Traffic in-charge Afaq Khan discovered this during a regular traffic check.

15 people in a 4-seater auto

An autorickshaw meant to carry only four people, including the driver, was found carrying 15 people. In the video, three passengers are sitting with the driver, while 11 are tightly packed in the back. This was noticed during a routine check near Pal Chowk.

Traffic officer Afaq Khan was shocked when he started counting the passengers in the autorickshaw. The driver had broken safety rules by carrying five times the allowed number of people. The driver apologised with folded hands, asking for forgiveness.

Traffic officer imposes a fine and issues a warning

Afaq Khan managed the situation calmly and firmly warned the driver about the dangers of overcrowding. He explained that this careless behaviour could put passengers and others on the road in danger. Khan also fined the driver Rs 6,500 for carrying too many people and not having a valid licence.

Khan later said that safety rules were being strictly enforced. He warned the driver not to repeat this mistake and stated that if the driver broke the rules again, even stricter punishments would be given.

Traffic rules are important

To avoid accidents, it’s important to follow traffic rules. Do not sit in overcrowded vehicles, as it can make them unsafe. Always act responsibly. If an auto meant for 4 asks 12 to sit, say no. Protect yourself and others by following rules. Safety on the road ensures a healthy and happy life.
