Cricketer Yash Dayal has given a written complaint through his lawyer at a police station in Prayagraj after a woman from Ghaziabad accused him of sexual harassment. In his complaint, Dayal said that the woman was blackmailing him. He explained that they first connected on Instagram and were just friends. Later, she started forcing him to marry her.

Dayal claimed that she took money from him, saying it was for her family’s medical treatment. When he asked her to return the money (which was in lakhs), she made false allegations against him. He also said that she took away his iPhone, laptop, and other belongings. The Prayagraj police have not yet filed an FIR. Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Bhart said that since the incident happened in Ghaziabad, Yash Dayal can share his side there.

Earlier, an FIR was filed against Yash Dayal at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad under Section 69 of the Indian Penal Code. The woman had complained through the Chief Minister’s grievance portal (IGRS), after which a preliminary inquiry was done and the case was registered. In her complaint, the woman said she was in a relationship with Yash Dayal for five years. She accused him of mentally, physically, and financially exploiting her by falsely promising to marry her.

She said that Dayal introduced her to his family and acted as if they were already married, which made her trust him even more. But when she asked him seriously about marriage, he allegedly became violent and kept harassing her. The woman also claimed that Dayal took money from her during their relationship and that he has behaved like this with other women too. She said she has evidence, including chat messages, screenshots, video call recordings, and photos, to support her allegations.

Yash Dayal, who is a left-arm fast bowler, last played for RCB in the 2025 IPL season. Last year, he got his first call-up to the Indian team for a series against Bangladesh but hasn’t played an international match yet.
