The nationwide flight disruptions were caused by technical glitches, staffing shortages, and new pilot fatigue rules related to duty hours. IndiGo, one of India’s largest airlines, struggled to manage its daily flights, leaving thousands of passengers waiting at major airports such as Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi. Videos of the chaotic scenes quickly went viral on social media, showing long queues, crowded boarding gates, and angry passengers.

IndiGo has been facing operational challenges in recent weeks, including crew shortages and adjusting to new flight duty regulations. These disruptions have caused widespread inconvenience, drawing criticism from travellers and public figures alike. The airline is now under pressure to resolve its operational issues and restore punctuality to maintain its reputation as one of India’s leading carriers.
