Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the people injured in the Red Fort blast at Delhi’s Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital on Wednesday, soon after returning from his visit to Bhutan. The tragic blast at one of Delhi’s most famous landmarks killed 10 people and left over 20 others injured.
According to officials, as soon as PM Modi landed in Delhi, he went straight to LNJP Hospital without stopping anywhere. He met each of the injured patients, spoke with them, and wished them a speedy recovery. Doctors and officials briefed him about their condition and the medical treatment being provided. To avoid disrupting hospital activities, PM Modi entered the premises through a back gate, avoiding the media waiting at the main entrance.
After the visit, the Prime Minister posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Went to LNJP Hospital and met those injured during the blast in Delhi. Praying for everyone’s quick recovery. Those behind the conspiracy will be brought to justice!”

The Red Fort blast happened on Monday when a car exploded near the historic monument, causing a huge fire and damaging nearby vehicles. The explosion was powerful enough to leave several people dead and many seriously injured. Police and security agencies are investigating the blast, which is suspected to be linked to terror groups.
On the same day, security forces in Faridabad, Haryana, recovered 2,900 kilograms of IED-making materials after uncovering a terror module believed to involve the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) groups.
Even while on his two-day visit to Bhutan, PM Modi addressed the tragedy. Speaking at the Global Peace Prayer Festival in Thimphu, he sent a strong message to those behind the attack. Switching briefly to English, he said, “We will get to the bottom of this conspiracy, and the conspirators will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice.”
This is the second time PM Modi has switched to English during a public address to deliver a stern message, the first being after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. The Prime Minister has assured the nation that the government will take strict action against the perpetrators, and investigations are already underway to identify those responsible for the deadly blast.
