Patna Police caught a suspect on Sunday in the murder case of businessman Gopal Khemka in Bihar. The suspect, named Roshan Kumar from Punpun in Patna, was caught when he came to attend Khemka’s funeral on July 6.
Police are now questioning Roshan to find out if he was involved in planning the murder. So far, the police have already questioned around 12 people related to this case.

Early investigation shows that Gopal Khemka’s murder was planned and done by several people. Besides the shooter, there were two helpers called spotters who watched and tracked Khemka’s movements on the night he was killed.

When Khemka left Bankipur Club that night, the first spotter informed the shooter. The second spotter was waiting near Biskoman Tower in the Gandhi Maidan area. The shooter was already waiting near Khemka’s house for the final signal to attack. To catch those involved, Patna Police are checking CCTV footage from different places like Bankipur Club, Gandhi Maidan, Buddha Colony, and the Income Tax Golambar area.

Police have not made an official statement yet, but they say raids are going on to catch the shooter and others involved. Khemka’s last rites were held on July 6 at Gulbi Ghat in Patna. Many local businessmen and industrialists came to say their final goodbyes. After this murder, many business people in Bihar are worried about their safety. The Bihar government has promised to look into these safety concerns seriously and take action.
