Monalisa 'Moni' Bhonsle, the viral garland seller from Indore known for her striking amber eyes at Maha Kumbh, has accused a group of men of forcefully entering her tent to take pictures with her, even after she refused. When her brother tried to stop them and delete the photos from their phones, the men allegedly attacked him.
In a video, Monalisa said, "The men told me that my father had sent them to take pictures with me. I refused and told them that if my father had sent them, they should go to him and not to me for photos."
After gaining fame for her natural beauty, Monalisa 'Moni' Bhonsle has been constantly approached by people asking for photos. In a recent incident, she expressed her fear, saying, "I am scared. No one is around to help me. Anyone could harm me. There's no electricity, and yet, people forcefully entered my tent."
She said that when her father arrived, he denied sending anyone. "My father confronted them, shouting and asking how they could force their way into my tent. I even asked him if he had sent them, but he denied it," Monalisa shared.
The 16-year-old also revealed that her brother, feeling protective and angry, tried to take the men's phones to delete the pictures. "That's when nine men attacked him," she said.
How did Monalisa rise to fame?
After an influencer's video of her at the Maha Kumbh Mela went viral, Monalisa became an internet sensation because of her striking beauty. Since then, she has faced constant requests for pictures and interviews, which has disrupted her ability to sell her garlands.
Recent reports claimed that her father had sent her home, but her grandfather has refuted these claims, confirming that Monalisa is still at the Maha Kumbh Mela. "She is getting very upset in Prayagraj. She can't work because people follow her around, take pictures, and talk to her. She is unable to sell her products," her grandfather, a resident of Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district, told ABP.
