A man from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, has been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. His name is Pathan Khan, and he was taken into custody by the Rajasthan Intelligence team. Officials say he had been under questioning for about a month before he was officially arrested on May 1, 2025.
A case has been filed against him under The Official Secrets Act, 1923, a law made to keep important government information safe and prevent it from being shared with other countries or people who might use it to hurt the country’s safety.
According to a press release from the Rajasthan Intelligence Department, Pathan Khan visited Pakistan in 2013. During that visit, he met with officers from Pakistan's Intelligence Agency.

There, in Pakistan, he was lured with money and received espionage training.
Officials also shared that even after his 2013 visit, Khan kept in touch with Pakistani agents. He traveled to Pakistan again and allegedly shared sensitive and secret details about the Jaisalmer International Border with handlers from the ISI.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
