The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will start its 11-day 'Tiranga Yatra' on Tuesday to honor the bravery and sacrifices of India's armed forces, especially after the success of 'Operation Sindoor.'The yatra will take place from May 13 to May 23, with events planned in different parts of the country.
It will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and aims to inspire national pride and unity, with a focus on recognizing the courage of the Indian Army. The BJP wants to connect with people from all communities and regions, spreading messages of patriotism, unity, and respect for the Tricolour.
Senior party leaders and Union ministers, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and J.P. Nadda, held a meeting on Sunday, May 11, to discuss how the campaign will be carried out. BJP National President JP Nadda, along with leaders like Sambit Patra, Vinod Tawde, and Tarun Chugh, is leading the coordination of the yatra at the national level.
Party sources have stressed that while the yatra is focused on national pride, it will stay neutral and non-political. A senior BJP leader said, “This is about uniting the people behind the bravery of our armed forces, not about politics.” The campaign will feature large public gatherings, bike rallies, flag-hoisting ceremonies, and events to raise awareness about the success of 'Operation Sindoor,' which the government has called a major military achievement.
The BJP believes the Tiranga Yatra will strengthen the bond between citizens and the armed forces, supporting the Modi government's message of strong leadership and national security. The yatra’s goal is to create a wave of patriotism, with the Tricolour proudly displayed across towns and cities throughout the country.
