The Ram temple project in Ayodhya has received the 'Sword of Honour' award from the British Safety Council. This award recognises the temple's construction for following excellent safety rules. The news was shared on December 15, 2024, by Nripendra Misra, who is in charge of the team overseeing the construction of the temple. The award shows that the project followed top standards in safety.

The Sword of Honour is one of the top awards for safety, given to projects that meet very high safety standards. The British Safety Council carefully checks all the safety rules and practices before visiting the project site. Only projects with a five-star rating in safety can compete for this award. This means that the Ram temple project follows the best safety rules, keeping workers and visitors safe. The construction is managed by M/s Larsen & Toubro, which had already won the 'Golden Trophy' from the National Safety Council for its great safety measures at the site.

Ram Temple’s construction progress nears completion

Along with receiving the safety award, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is moving forward well. The building of the first two floors, including the top part called the 'Shikhar,' is nearly done. This part is expected to be finished by June 2025. Visitors will be able to see marble statues of Shri Ram Darbar and important people from Hindu history, like Maharishi Valmiki, Ahilya Devi, Nishad Raaj, Sabri, Muni Vashishth, Agatsya Muni, Rishi Vishwamitra, and Goswami Tulsidas. These statues will be ready by January 2025.

The Ram temple is being built using a special stone called Bansi Paharpur stone, which comes from Rajasthan. About 15 lakh cubic feet of this stone will be used for the temple. Experts like Vasudev Kamath, Shri Sompura, and Shri Jay Kaktikar have helped design the temple, making sure it shows the beauty and richness of Hindu culture.

As the temple is almost finished and receives worldwide recognition for its safety measures, the opening of the Ram temple in 2025 is expected to be a very important and historic event.
