Air India is the first airline in India to offer Wi-Fi on both domestic and international flights. This service is available on some of their planes, including the Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9, and certain Airbus A321neo. Passengers travelling on these planes can use the internet for browsing, checking social media, sending messages, or even doing work during their flight. Whether travelling for business or vacation, passengers can now stay connected while in the air.
What are the key features of Air India’s Wi-Fi service?
The in-flight Wi-Fi can be used on devices like laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Passengers can connect more than one device at the same time. The Wi-Fi works once the plane reaches 10,000 feet, so browsing will not be interrupted. The service started on some international flights, like those to New York, London, Paris, and Singapore. Air India also offers Wi-Fi on its domestic flights. For a short time, passengers can use the WiFi for free.
Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, commented, “Connectivity is now an integral part of modern travel. Whether it's for sharing in real time or getting work done, we’re confident our guests will enjoy the option of staying connected.”
