A team of Muslim artists in Agra has created a stunning stone mosaic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a tribute to Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. Officials said the group created the artwork to honour the mission’s message and impact.
Israr, the artist who led the project, shared details about the mosaic. “The mosaic is two-and-a-half feet tall and three feet wide. We used stones sourced from Belgium, Burma, and Sri Lanka to create it. Similar to the intricate stone inlay work seen in the Taj Mahal, the mosaic has also been carved meticulously,” he said.
The detailed piece took 15 days to complete and was crafted by a team of six Muslim artisans, he added.
Adnan Sheikh, who commissioned the mosaic, explained his reason behind the artwork. “We wanted to create a memorable artwork to honour Operation Sindoor, which taught a lesson to Pakistan. I hope to get an appointment to meet the prime minister soon and present the artwork to him,” he said.
The mosaic not only represents national pride but also stands as a powerful symbol of unity across communities.
