In a disturbing incident from Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, a 15-day-old baby was found abandoned in a forest with his mouth and thighs sealed with glue. Authorities revealed that the culprit had even forced stones into the child’s mouth to cover his cries, ultimately attempting to end his life. Miraculously, the newborn survived this brutal act and was found by a cattle grazer near the Sita Ka Kund temple in Mandalgarh.

The grazer immediately informed nearby villagers, who carefully removed the stone and rushed the baby to a government hospital in Bijolia. Doctors confirmed that the infant bore marks of glue on his mouth and thighs, but was receiving treatment and was stable. “The baby is about 15 to 20 days old and is under treatment,” the police told PTI, informing of the fragile condition of the tiny survivor.

In a separate similar case from Uttar Pradesh, the body of a 10-month-old girl was found in an abandoned room near National Highway-19 in Bhadohi district. The doorless room, elevated about five feet above the ground and located roughly 200 metres from the highway in Rajapur village, concealed a tragedy that shocked the local community. A post-mortem examination confirmed that the infant had been smothered to death, with no visible external injuries.

Police noted that the girl appeared to come from a well-off family, as indicated by her clothes, and a white towel was found near her body. Despite being found near a busy highway, no one in the area has been able to identify the child. Authorities suspect that the baby may have been killed by someone travelling along the highway at night and then left in the abandoned room. A forensic team has inspected the site, and CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being reviewed to trace those responsible. Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway.
