After months of speculation and buzz on social media, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has finally confirmed her relationship with director Raj Nidimoru, and also revealed that the two have tied the knot. The actress made their relationship official on Instagram by sharing the first photos from their intimate wedding ceremony.
Samantha and Raj, who were rumoured to be dating since 2024, got married on Monday morning at the Linga Bhairavi Temple inside the Isha Foundation campus in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Samantha shared the wedding pictures on Instagram with a short and meaningful caption, just the wedding date, “01.12.2025”.
The wedding was simple, traditional, and very private. Only close family members and a few friends attended the ceremony. The Isha Foundation later issued a statement confirming that the couple got married in a Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony, a sacred ritual followed at the Linga Bhairavi Devi temple.
For the special day, Samantha chose a classic and elegant look. She wore a red silk saree along with traditional gold jewellery. Her hair was tied neatly in a bun, giving her a graceful appearance. Raj Nidimoru kept his outfit minimal yet traditional, wearing a white kurta with churidaar pyjama and a beige Nehru jacket.
Samantha and Raj have known each other professionally as well. They previously worked together on The Family Man season two, where Samantha played a key role and Raj served as one of the directors. They also collaborated on Citadel: Honey Bunny. Their professional relationship eventually grew into a personal bond over time.
On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon be seen in the Netflix series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. Interestingly, Raj Nidimoru is the co-creator and producer of this show as well, marking another collaboration for the couple.
Before this marriage, Samantha was married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021. Raj Nidimoru was previously married to Shhyamali De from 2015 to 2022. The newlyweds have kept their wedding low-key and peaceful, choosing privacy over a grand celebration. Their simple ceremony and heartfelt announcement have received warm wishes from fans across the country.
