The threatening email warns, “We are monitoring your recent activities and we believe it is important that we bring to your attention a sensitive matter. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you, we urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality.” The sender of the email signed off with the name ‘BISHNU.’
Rajpal Yadav received an email on December 14, 2024, from someone identifying as ‘Bishnu,’ threatening to kill Kapil Sharma and his team over his show being sponsored by Salman Khan. Yadav’s wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, immediately filed a police complaint at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai.
A case has been registered under Section 351(3) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, which deals with threats of harm, at Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. Security will now be provided to Kapil Sharma and his team. The police have traced the email's IP address to Pakistan and are seeking government assistance to communicate with Pakistan. The email's sender has demanded a reply within eight hours, threatening personal and professional consequences if ignored.
