The United States will take part in Aero India 2025, a major aerospace and defence event in Asia, being held in Bengaluru from February 10, for the 15th time. This event marks the strong partnership between the US and India. The exhibition will feature advanced American aircraft and defence technologies. US officials will also meet with Indian counterparts to discuss business and strengthen defence ties.
Over 25 US companies will showcase innovations in drones, fighter jets, avionics, and defence electronics. A high-level US delegation, led by US Embassy official Jorgan Andrews, will attend the event. Andrews expressed excitement about the US-India defence partnership, calling it an important part of their growing relationship. Andrew said, “TheUnited States is happy to take part in Aero India again and highlight our strong defence ties with India. Our partnership in defence, trade, and training is an important part of our growing relationship.”
Top US officials, including General Kevin Schneider, Brigadier General Patrick Teague, and Consul General Chris Hodges, will also be present at the exhibition.
Strengthening Defence ties
The US-India defence partnership has made significant progress since Aero India 2023, with key developments in technology, maritime security, cybersecurity, logistics, and counter-terrorism. General Schneider highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating, “Aero India 2025 is a valuable platform to showcase US defence aircraft and equipment while enhancing cooperation with other nations.”
He further added, “With the rise in defence trade between India and the US, our coordination has also improved through information sharing, liaison officers, joint training, and strategic agreements. This partnership is vital as security challenges in the Indo-Pacific continue to evolve.”
Stunning displays and live performances
Aero India 2025 will present an impressive lineup of US-made defence aircraft, including the F-16, F-35, KC-135 Stratotanker, and B-1 bomber, drawing keen interest from defence enthusiasts and industry experts.
Enhancing the event’s excitement, the Final Approach, a 10-member ensemble from the United States Air Force Band of the Pacific, will perform live. Based at Yokota Air Base in Japan, the band will entertain audiences at Aero India on February 13 and 14. Apart from this, they will hold a special performance at Christ University auditorium in Bengaluru on February 11 at 5:00 p.m.
